Originally inspired by the works of Vivaldi, Afyah Giuliani has been playing the violin since 2010. Having studied with Emilie Blair, Tamara Ringas (NWI Symphony Orchestra) and Carl Johnston (Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra), she enjoys teaching violin, and has played as an apprentice with the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra. Afyah also plays mandolin, piano, and loves to sing, especially at church. She played for the South Suburban Youth Orchestra in 2015, won a certificate of scholarship from The Crete Women's Club Scholarship awards for outstanding musicianship, and was a Youth Finalist in LCSO's Hoosier Star singing competition in 2018 and 2021, placing second in 2021.
